Look-alike Front Porch Chair Round Up

Written by Decor, Outdoor

I think it’s safe to say Spring has finally sprung! I’m oddly excited to get outside and clean up our outdoor spaces, like, way more than normal. Our house still looks horrible from the outside compared to our neighbors, because I went on strike until it actually stayed warm. I’m sure there are some neighbors talking about “those lazy people” down the street, at this point… Well, we are about to make them very happy!

As I’ve hinted a couple times, we have plans for updating our curb appeal this year. I’ll get into that in another post coming soon. Sorry… I realize I just hinted at it again, but oh well! In the meantime, I’m just excited to wash the pillows, sweep the area, and plant some green things. One of the first pieces that really made this porch the cozy space it is, were our bucket chairs. I get asked about them all the time! But it always pains me to explain they are not sold anymore.

Ours came from Target about 2 years ago, from a limited time “back to school” dorm room collection. For $49 each, I hunted down a store that had two and snagged them immediately. But with a little digging, I was able to find almost the exact same chair and some great look-a-likes I think also fit the bill.

#5 is the closest chair to our own with the white cord and black legs. Coming from CB2 it’s probably an excellent chair, but unfortunately it’s a bit heavier on the wallet than our $49 Target chairs. The chair that I’m absolutely in love with, is #8 from Pier 1. I just love the mix of the rattan with a modern shape. However, I don’t think it would look as good up against brick similar to our front porch. The warm tone of the rattan is too similar to the warm tone of brick. I chose white chairs for this exact reason. #9 seems like a good compromise with the rattan texture but painted white, giving this chair the contrast it needs against brick. If you don’t have a brick exterior though, the rattan chairs would be absolutely gorgeous against cooler tones, or neutral blacks and whites. Ugh! I can just picture it in my head now and it’s a sight to behold!

So even though our chairs are no longer sold, I hope this round up satisfies the hunt for something similar. There are so many great options out there, even beyond this tiny list of some of my favorites. You’ll be sure to find something you love.
